It's that time again. Time to renew your Road Runners membership and show your support for running here in Palm Beach County. Thanks to dedicated members like you, the Road Runners help to organize three races throughout the year, support local charities, provide socials and group runs, but we can't do it without your help.
How Can You Renew or Join?
It's easy. Click the link above, or mail the memberhsip form along with a check made payable to Palm Beach Road Runners, to 729 Dakota Drive, Jupiter, Florida 33458. Be sure to update your mailing address or email so we can keep you current on the latest happenings with the Club. Any questions? A few people have asked so I wanted to share with you where some of your annual fee goes:
$2.27 Membership in the Road Runners Club of America – www.rrca.org
$2.33 General Liability Insurance for all our events, meetings, workouts, etc.
$0.50 RRCA other fees
$9.60 South Florida Running Forum
(in 2007 shirts at $16/ shirt/ member)
Meetings, race expenses, drinks on all the Club runs (Juno, Clematis, PB Lakes track, etc), as well as my new Lotus.
(Kidding, no Lotus; just checking to see if you are actually reading this.)
We still have a lot of male large shirts and are almost out of all the women's sizes if you still have not received a shirt. Contact Iva Grady igrady@palmbeaches.org for your shirt.
There is a lot in the planning for the New Year. We have new board members, need more member participation and will be electing Officers for 2008. Club meetings are the first Monday of each month and we are trying to keep the majority at the Chamber of Commerce downtown WPB. Email Paula Heron at pjh13run@aol.com if you would like to attend, have meeting suggestions or need info on the meetings.
