8/30/2006 To The Palm Beach Road Runners, Thank you so much for the scholarship to the UF cross country camp. I had a lot of fun and enjoyed my experience there. I learned a lot about nutrition, motivation, stretching, injury prevention and running. There were so many top runners there and I was able to stay with most of them, which definitely helped me gain confidence because now I know that I am able to keep up with the girls who beat me last year. The campus was great and I was able to meet the University of Florida coach and some of the top runners there. They had guest speakers come and talk to us about their experiences in cross country and help us improve our running as well. The workouts were quite rigorous. We ran two long distance runs, a hill workout, a fartlek run, and abdominal workouts. It got me off to a great start this summer with my training. I have run over 300 miles since June and have run personal records since then. Thank you again for letting me have the experience of participating in the camp this summer. It was a great experience and I had a lot of fun. Thank you,
